Craig Griffin, a member of the El Dorado Jaycees, was inducted as JCI Senator #69138 on Tuesday, October 13that the annual Alumni Reception by State President Chad Peterson of Conway. The JCI Senate is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon any member of a local chapter by JCI, Junior Chamber International. The award was first created in 1952 and is only presented to those that have shown the highest commitment to the principles and beliefs of the organization. Craig Griffin is only the ninth member of the El Dorado chapter to receive this award. He has served the Jaycees as President of both the El Dorado Jaycees (2004) and the Arkansas Junior Chamber (part 2005).
His other activities have included: El Dorado Rotary Club, District Rotary, Leadership El Dorado, Main Street El Dorado, Musicfest El Dorado, El Dorado Chamber of Commerce, El Dorado Downtown Improvement Task Force, El Dorado Marketing Implantation Task Force, United Way of Union County, El Dorado A&P Commission, Upward Bound Basketball, Cub Scouts – DeSoto Area Council, Union County Democratic Central Committee, Automotive Service Association, Society of Collision Repair Specialists, and the Arkansas Collision Repair Association. He is married to Cathey McAllister Griffin and has two sons.
